The price on this cpu is too good to pass up.
I plan to go with this cpu and simply turbo clock it full time. I want to do this as cheaply as possible. Do the B75 boards support this? I am not looking for a board with a lot of features, as few as possible actually as I simply plan to leverage the power of the cpu. Despite being fine for gaming when it's way overclocked to 3.8Ghz the Q6600 is getting long in tooth for a lot encoding i've been doing. I'm considering some 3ds max, I was actually trained in college to use it but I've not had a job where it was of any value. Now i'm going to have some time on my hands and i'd love to get back into it and step up a few generations,
all this aside I want to run this cpu on the cheap and maybe pick up an old gtx 580 to assist or perform most of the rendering or newer card for gaming card. Once the new 285x comes out I may look at that.
All that aside I am not wanting features on the motherboard just simple support without needing a bios update right out of the box.
