Another "What laptop should I buy" thread

1. What is your budget?
Anything up to $2000.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Smaller than 17inches, but larger than 13inches

3. What screen resolution do you want?
1080p or higher

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I don't want a desktop replacement but I do want high performance.

5. How much battery life do you need?
6ish hours

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Some games (as in older games, definitely nothing from 2013 or 2014), but nothing extreme. I'm fine with lowering the graphics to the lowest to play.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Mainly schoolwork and programming.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I would like a SSD as the main drive. I don't need lots of space because this laptop will mainly be used for school and programming.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
At least two years.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Not needed

No brand preference.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I basically want a high performance laptop that is extremely reliable. I don't mind paying a premium for build quality, screen quality, keyboard quality, etc. Performance and reliability is #1. I don't want integrated graphics and don't need an extremely strong GPU.
