Yes you are completely fine with either board. I would go with the Z97 however. Best upgrade path IMO. Z series allowed you to SLI and upgrade to a k series while being to OC it. H series boards do not let you SLI or OC. I hope that helps :) And for future reference, you can use k series CPUs with H series board. You just wont be able to OC it. But never do that because there are always non k version of the same CPU for less $. Unless it is the 4790k in which the 4790 and the 4790k do not have same stock and boost clocks.. Haha sorry thats a lot of info :)

It's just a little bit more reliable and better review than the drive you picked. Other than that you are golden :)
