AMD FX-6300 and recommended GPU?

Hi guys first post here. I'm trying to build my first PC for gaming and video recording/editing.
Wanting to run Battlefield and Minecraft like everyone else.

Here's my components:
AMD FX-6300
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P

Need suggestions on a graphics card! Budget is around $220-230

Read a few posts about the Radeon R9 series but wanted to get the input from you guys!

I'd say go with the R9 280 and overclock that cpu..

Edit: Might want to go with the 760 because of Shadowplay which should help in fps.. (recording thingy like fraps)

I was thinking maybe I would try OCing it to around 4 GHz if it would let me. I can get the R9 270x for around $170 and the 280x for $190. Both are Sapphire cards if that makes a difference?
