I currently own a g400 and im thinking of buying a g402 hyperion fury.
will this be a good investment? how much has the g402 been improved against the g400. Logitech are making bold claims about it being the worlds fastest mice and whatnot, but i want to know it from someone who has used both.

g400 has the dpi in the range of 200-3600 i mostly use it at 800 for cs go and maximum 1200 for any other fps game.So that answers your question right? If you get a "faster" mouse, you will need to reduce its DPI setting anyway.
my question is that will i be getting any advantages ingame with g402 or is it not much of an improvement over g400.

What advantage do you expect?
Your current mouse is already faster than you want.
These are FPS mice so I guess macros aren't of much interest.
Is there anything you find lacking in your current mouse?

im really confused about the word "fast" used here i wont game at a dpi higher than 1200. but logitech is claiming its the fastest mouse that can register upto 500 ips without losing track, will that be of any use to me ?
i haven't done much research about this.

It sounds like a gimmick to me. Does your current mouse track badly when you move it quickly in games?

In that case, this mouse could be good for you.
Make sure you use an appropriate mouse mat too. The wrong mouse mat will ruin the experience with any mouse.

The G402 has a better sensor, it happens to have a higher DPI, but it will also perform better at lower DPIs also, so it is worth getting.bought it 2day
used fr 1hr already feelin the difference
That's good. Is the difference that it is more accurate?
yes and the grip is pretty good too
