Dear all,

So that the new GTX Gpus are out I plan to upgrade from
670GTX Asus to Asus 970GTX

My system is is about 2 years old

I guess I do NOT need to upgrade my
Power Supply Corsair 650 Watt Gold, is that correct?

However I am wondering about upgrading

i5-3570k 3.40 GHZ (@ 4.4 GHz stable) to the latest i5 model. Would that make sense or is it not worth the investment?

Another question: Should I replace my Thermal Paste after 2 years of use on an moderatly overclocked machine?

Thanks to all

You don't need to upgrade your CPU,the 3570K will do just fine.
You also don't need to upgrade your PSU,that Corsair is great quality.
And yes,you should replace your Thermal Paste. You should do that every 4-6 months. ;)

dunno where you got that little gem from mate but your paste should only be replaced when it needs to be.
typically this is anything from 2.8-4 years before it should start showing signs of degrading. if its showing signs before then your looking at some really low quality paste (even if it has good thermals)
replacing it every 4-6 months wont bring any gains in reduced temps but will give a lot more risk as far as breaking or shorting something.
put it into perspective you only need to clean your case fans every 4-6 months if you have filters...
