Hey, I'm wanting to build myself a new pc for gaming. My budget is $550, anymore than that is really pushing it.
Already have monitor, HDD, mouse, keyboard and windows. Here is what I need.
CPU, Motherboard, Ram/memory, Case, Psu, Graphics Card.
I live in Australia so I am only wanting to purchase from stores within Australia as Postage prices are just to expensive for international shipping over here.
Also I am willing to Overclock the cpu, I do have a fair amount of knowledge of computers i just want to see if others can build what is better then what i have come up with.
All help is greatly appreciated.

There was no way I could've made a $550 PC.Can you bump up your budget to $552?
Anyway, this build allows for upgrades in the future. You can get a new GPU without buying a new PSU and a new CPU without getting a new motherboard. :)

I didn't include a HDD since you already have that, but everything should be there. You've got a good case, a solid PSU, an optical drive and the most powerful GPU you can get at this price point. Your CPU and your motherboard both support overclocking if you're interested in that later one, and the Pentium model I chose really shines when you do. The motherboard also supports all of this generation and the next generation Broadwell CPU's also, which is good if you want to upgrade later on. The case is great, and it's all under budget. The next time you get another $50 pick up another 2x2gb of ram, an easy upgrade. Hope that helps :)

yeah bumping it up to $552 is ok haha, just going into extra $20+ over $550 is gonna be harder to get the money as $550 is pushing it. I'm a student so hard to get hold of money while I'm at school majority of the time.

Intel Core i3 415000 $129.00
Samsung SH-224DB 24x $DVDRW $19.00
Corsair VS450 ATX Power Supply $55.00
Gigabyte Radeon R7 260X OC 2GB $139.00
ASUS H81M-E Motherboard $59.00
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (2x4GB) DDR3 $99.00
BitFenix Comrade Case Black 49.00

Sub-Total: $549.00 All from http://www.pccasegear.com/

if you are willing to settle for 4GB or ram you could step up the gpu which I think is a pretty decent idea but what I've got there should do the job well enough.

This is a very low power draw computer which will max out at 280-300 watts so 450 leaves lots of headroom
