My first every time building a computer of my own. Just need advice on if my build is viable for the cost and efficiency. Ive posted before but my build has changed A LOT, thanks to everyones input. This is most likely my final draft, just looking for any final opinions, especially on the monitor choice.

Approximate Purchase Date: Hopefully October 10th
Budget Range: $3000 (with monitor,software, keyboard)
System Usage: Gaming, Movies
Buying Monitor: Yes
Buy OS: Yes
Location: Twenty-nine palms, CA -- NYC, NY -- Okinawa Japan (going to all three places within 3-4months)
Parts Preferences: I enjoy NVIDIA products
Overclocking: Likely
SLI: Prefer not too, but not a biggie
Monitor Resolution: I want the ASUS ROG SWIFT, in of itself is very expensive and I am considering it, but looking at other alternatives.

No doubt, that is a beast. What kind of games are you looking to play and at what resolution? If you are going to be running 1080P, this is overkill (in my opinion).

EDIT - Sorry, I see that you are looking at 1440P.

Also, when you say system usage is movies, are you just watching them, or are you going to be ripping/trancoding/etc.?
