You shouldn't compare a console with a gaming computer in first place. If you're talking about an ultra gaming build for 5 years, then I doubt any gpu will be able to do that as no one can be absolutely sure about what the future will bring. You'd need a beast card by today's standard for it to be a a good card for 5 years in to the future IMO.

Games on ps4 do not need higher requirement as the hardware is constant, games on pc are always evolving.

That'd require top notch components. Try to understand that, if a game developer decides to develop a game for ps4 3 years from now, he'd need to develop it for the same hardware as right now.

In contrast, if a developer wanted to make a pc game 3 years from now, he'd use the latest tech.

The very comparison is senseless.

It should be good for high settings 3 years from now, but don't quote me on that. Can't really compete it with consoles.

I'd have to agree with Meteor's suggestions up to a point. Its an unanswerable question, depending on the way one chooses to read it. I'm guessing that you want a PC that will perform at 1080p with mid to high graphics settings for a few (3-4) years.

The way I look at it if you wan't a computer that's a PS4... buy a PS4. Obviously you don't want to do that though.

If you look at it this way; the PS4 is the best console gaming experience available... and I would not buy one to entertain my dog. Extending this logic a mid range PC will cost you a variable amount more than the console but will eat the console and crap it out and use the shredded PS4 bits to garnish the XboX one which it will subsequently eat as well. all in ultra high def carnage.

Was that helpful cause I'm hearing Solution found!! Click...lol

As Meteor said, its very difficult to say. Depends if you spill your strawberry quick on it I guess.

Gamespot answered this very question in a video build. Type Gamespot and PC on a console budget into google video search.
