Hello, i bought a new pc, and i can't get the monitor to get a signal. I do hear the PC starting up and i see the CPU and GPU fan run. The specs are: i3 4150, GTX 750 (Gigabyte 1 fan GPU connected to CX 430 6 pin PCI express), motherboard is Gigabyte GA-H81M-D2V, 1 4gb Hyperx RAM and Seagate 500 gb HDD. I've tried everything that's in shortstuff_mt's sticky post. I've connected a VGA cable to the motherboard not the GPU, because it doesn't have a VGA connection. Do i need to connect it to the GPU and buy a new monitor 'cause this one is an old Fujitsu siemens monitor, but i have used it on my old PC and it works fine. I haven't inserted a motherboard, gpu or a windows disc, because i don't have a external optical drive yet. I don't need to insert them to get monitor starting do i?

The motherboard connections are disabled when a graphics card is installed.
Best option would be to use a DVI to VGA adapter and connect to the graphics card.

Thats why it doesnt work, you cant plug it into onboard if you install a videocard. The videocard will disable the onboard video
