I was original going to get a build with I7-4790k and GTX 770, but with the new GTX 970 blowing out of the water with a pretty close price (100$) I changed my build, give me your thoughts I could add 100 if it would really improve the PC. I won't overclock. Also could you guys help me pick the exact GPU.I will be getting an SSD later.

ASUS GeForce GTX 970 OC, 4GB GDDR5 (256 Bit), HDMI, 2xDVI, DP (STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5)

I can't speak for the 970s as I have been unable to find branding benchmarks on them just yet, but generally the Gigabytes have the best cooling, as they've got 3 fans, but they also tend to be one of the louder cards based on past benchmarks I've read through. EVGA makes solid cards and have bulletproof warranties. I personally like the Asus DCUII, but I'm partial to Asus as I've never had any problems first hand.

Personally, I'm going to be picking up a 970 STRIX. When it comes to cards I am a sucker for back plates.. As gizzard said, Gigabyte typically pulls ahead in cooling. But since it has 3 smaller fans they are a bit whinier and noisier.. Sound never bothers be though because I would rather have cool and longer lasting parts. Just always remember that headphones are cheaper than a rig

I would still say ACX 2.0... EVGA says they've improved almost everything over from the original ACX cooler. Asus's DirectCU II is nice, but the clock speeds of their cards tend to be kinda low. As stated above, Gigabyte's Windforce is kinda loud.
