Hello guys ! My monitor is BenQ GL2560 and when I'm playing it starts to flicker. I've played Far Cry 2, GTA IV, FIFA 14 and they all have flickering. The worse one is in Far Cry 2 where it's very visible and virtually everywhere and it drives me crazy, especially in dark places where is very visible. Now, in GTA IV it's also visible but not so bad, again, in dark places it gets visible. In fifa 14 it's not so obvious, you have to look closely. My monitor is connected to a R9 270 from sapphire through a DVI - VGA adaptor with a VGA cable. I have the latest drivers. I tried Vsync, gaming mode on monitor and nothing. I've also played BF3 which generally looks amazing but there are some place in which you can see flickerings but they are very weak, only in dark places. What should I do ? I have to say that in browsing or when I'm not gaming there are no flickerings or maybe there are but I can't see them. However, only in games I can see them. Is the monitor the problem ? Is the cable the problem ? The games, the settings ? How can I solve this ?

VGA is an analog video standard, so your graphics card has to convert to analog and then your monitor has to convert it back.
You would be much better to use a DVI to DVI cable.
Cables up to 3m (9ft) are usually pretty good. Longer than this you need a good cable.

Also, in the monitor settings disable dynamic contrast. This is never a good feature in any monitor and may cause strange behaviour changing from light areas to dark or dark areas to light.

The problem is that I only have these problems when I'm playing games. I tried to use a beta driver but the result is no different. Also, I've shot some videos using fraps and the flickering are not visible on the videos so... is the problem from my GPU ? If so, what should I do ?

Well, in FIFA 14, Bioshock and FAR CRY 2 it solved the problem but in Splinter Cell Convinction it didn't and I don't know what to do. In GTA IV I don't even have this feature... I will anyway change to a DVI-DVI but I would like to solve the problem for now on VGA.
