http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PXvCCJ This is my first build and i was wondering from past experiences how much you actually get off when Cyber Monday comes around. Ill probably only have like 900 dollars by December 1 (Cyber Monday) but i really want all these parts but probably wont afford it. If any one has built any pc's on Cyber Monday can you tell how much i can expect to get off. I know no one will know how much you'll get off this year but i was just wanting to know how much you got for your build in past Cyber Monday.

You wont get much, some things will be a good price, some things wont. Id bet you wont save more than $50. You certainly wont save anywhere near $400.

My friend did his build on cyber monday and saved 600 dollars so i wasn't sure, and then i asked my other friend and he said what you said, maybe 50 dollars. So im confused because a lot of people say they saved a lot and a lot of people say that you wont save much. do you have any experience,\did you built one on cyber monday?

I would not get windows 8 if you plan on playing any games, plus, if you get a non OEM version of Windows 7, it will drop the price a bit.

You've specced a pile of parts.
Will those particular parts be cheaper in late November vs today?

If you're willing to change individual parts and chase sale prices, you might save some money.

Which is more important?
A PC built from a list of parts that you want?
Or a PC built from the lowest price parts?

If you want Part A...how far are you willing to go to get the lowest price on it? Wait until some random marketing date, and then find out Part A is NOT on sale, but is in fact $10 higher than it was 2 days previous?

How much work do you want to do to track down a 5-10% price reduction, that may not ever happen?

Not everything is cheaper on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
And if you're one of those people who actually go wait hours in line at the store, I feel for you.
