Which GPU shall I choose?

Hello people,

As the title might reveal, I am looking for a GPU, one is AMD and one is Nvidia. I really do not have any experience with any GPU (always intel graphics). So which one is the best to go with, for gaming and/or applications like photoshop and after effects?

Nvidia:
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW

AMD:
SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270X 2GB OC with Boost

*Oh, because I already am asking a question, I have one last one. Is a PSU with the 80 plus silver label reliable?

Go with AMD as the r9 270x is superior. And yes, 80 plus silver is good, but go with either corsair, seasonic or antec because a PSU is VERY important and a blown psu will also affect the other components of your PC.

Ok, thank you! And about the PSU, it's a 530Watt Xilence with a 80+ silver label. It is not listed on the page you suggested. So I think I'll just give it a try ;)

Yeah, but I like a computer which doesn't really consume (and waste) a lot of power.

It is a Xilence Performance A 530W PSU.

Unless you already have it I would go for a Corsair, XFX, Antec, or Seasonic psu as mentioned.

Oh no, did not buy it yet. I always ask people on a forum first ;). I'll look for the "great" PSU brands
