OK. So I have a flat screen Magnavox 26MD255V TV; it's one of those TVs that use old and new technology to make a cheaper TV, so it only has VGA and DVI but no HDMI ports.

I have a DVI cord that I got a DVI to HDMI converter for (and bought a digital optical audio cable as well) and I’ve hooked everything up where it should be.

Problem though: the screen said the signal was Out of Range. I figured out this was because my PS3 was still in its old HDMI settings, so I reset it. The TV screen then actually showed the normal "PS3 has detected you’re using an HDMI cord would you like to use the HDMI and AUDIO output for your PS3?" thing, and I clicked yes. Then the TV went back to the old Out of Range message. So I figured it wouldn't work that way, did the reset again and clicked No, only to stupidly realize that if I can’t use the HDMI, then of course I won’t get a picture.

I know this is a long-winded, complicated question, but I would appreciate any and all help! :??:

I actually solved this... Just took a -lot- longer for the TV to switch over to HDMI than I thought...and I just had to wait. Sorry, guys!
