i have buyed an lenovo g500 which has wndows 8.1 pre installed in it and have 3 partitions
i want to install windows 7 in it, i booted with a dvd and formatted a drive in which win 8.1 was there but i can't install windows in any of 3 partitions; it shows can't install drive is formatted in gpt format type
is there any way in which i can install windows 7 in a partition without losing my data
i have really important data in 3rd partition which i can't lose in any case
any video tutorial would be highly appreciated

you could have just google'd for that.

basically boot up witht he install dvd in the drive and watching your screen for the message similar to "Press F# for Boot Options" or "Boot Device" and press the F-key it tells you too. ( like F10)
This will bring up a list of bootable devices on your pc. Now select the one that says "UEFI:" and matches either the brand/model name of your dvd drive or it might say UEFI: Windows 7 installtion. It will definitely say UEFI: in front.
After you get it to boot by selecting the correct uefi device, the rest of the windows install is identical to the normal install.
