I have a Zalman Z9 ATX mid tower case and am about to install the disk drive. In the instructions it says after removing the entire front of the case to pop one of the four covers on the front out and insert the drive. These four covers are connected to the case by small metal bits. Do i chop these off or am I doing something wrong. This picture i found shows the problem. If you look below the screws there's the small connector http://www.thinkcomputers.org/reviews/zalman_z9plus/34.jpg
Thanks

You only need to do that if you're installing a 5.25" optical drive, or there's not enough space to install the hard drive from inside. I'm not sure which one of these you mean by "disk drive." Most 3.5" hard drives can be installed by sliding them into the bay from the inside of the case.

If it is an optical drive, you simply unscrew the screws holding the metal piece in place. Then you rotate the metal piece - push the top of it in and out of the case to gradually weaken the solid metal bits. After rotating it several times, it will snap off on its own.
