Does geforce gtx 770 need water cooling?

Im buying a 17 4770k along with zotac gtx 770......does gtx 770 need a water cooling system ? or is air cooler enough to keep it cool? Im planning to OverClock it later!!

Not at all, air coolers are plenty, thats why they are sold with them.

nope i had 2 of those bad boys and they were cool as hell...then i upgraded to R290's and those are HOT as Hell trying to figure out how i can keep the top card cool cause it gets HOT!!!!!!!

Interesting thread, since I just watercooled my GTX 770 this weekend. Although, I watercool mainly because I like to and can, not because I have to.

No it does not need it - but if you plan to and are in the US get a MSI card since you will retain warranty if you don't physically damage the card changing the cooler to a waterblock

EVGA doesn't void warranty if you install a waterblock, as long as you register the card within 30 days of purchase. Even if damaged DUE to watercooling. Trust me, I've done it.

And most cards don't NEED watercooling, but they need cooling of some sort, which is why they come with fans installed. If this is a discussion of 'need' vs. 'is it beneficial?', then that should be determined.
