Gtx 970 budget build; good cpu?

I'm currently running an r9 270 with an fx 6300 at 4.3 ghz. I'm looking to upgrade to a gtx 970, is there a good fx cpu that wouldn't bottleneck? Or would I have to switch to Intel, I'd like to stay with an amd cpu if at all possible though. I'm planning to play an array of games, from star citizen to world of Warcraft.

Solution
Just get the GPU, and see if there is a bottleneck by running a benchmark. If your GPU never gets to 100% load, then you have a bottleneck and should upgrade the CPU. I do not believe that there would be a bottleneck (as the 6300 is similar to an 8350 and 8320), but test your CPU out before you decide to upgrade.

I'd like to spend as little as possible, while still being able to run without bottlenecking, what would you suggest?

The cheapest an fx8350 in uk is £111 the i5 4440 is £135 so not much difference, better single core performance on the i5 but better multi core for the fx. I'm going off benchmarks. The i5 4670k is £165 even better single core but again is beaten by the fx at multi!
So depends what you want it for, do some research and don't listen to fanboys! I've been told that the fx8350 single core performance isn't that noticeably different in performance to the i5s in a normal everyday environment!

Obviously the real budget minded who want most bang for the buck go with amd!

BTW i've got a mate running dual 780s in a water loop on an fx8350 and it runs like a dream so the only drawbacks are in the eyes of intel fanboys!

I've got an i7 and like both so not a fanboy of amd i'm just a realist!

The fx-6300 should pair nicely, according to PassMark the 4440 mentioned above is slightly better but at twice the cost. $90 for the 6300 and $60 for an Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard and you'll be all set at $150 (Sorry that I'm a bit late to the party but this will help others too)
NOTE: if you want to compare cpus gpus and more I just use http://www.cpubenchmark.net/

EDIT: I wasn't even paying attention, you already have a 6300, its basically the equivalent of the one mentioned above

I wouldn't consider a 970 GTX exactly a "budget" component. Stick to the FX8350 at minimum to make good use of it. But I suggest an Intel i5 4650K upwards to do it full justice.

That should be "ever" not "never", and only pay attention to it on the graphics part. Good idea though!

Sorry I made a typo. I meant GPU.
