Hi,

In advance, sorry for the bad english.

As the titel states. I just can't get SLI to work.

Specs:
Cards: Geforce gtx 660ti. 1 from Asus 3gb, the other is MSI twin frozr with 2gb.
Mobo: ASUS maximus VII hero
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
Psu: Corsair RM650

so, what i tried so far: At first i could'nt see the SLI part in the nvidia control panel. For this i downloaded something that changed something in de registery. source: http://diygeekprojects.co.uk/featured/how-to-fix-your-2...
after doing this, i could see the SLI function and windows told me i can change it.
So i activate SLI, after doing this the control panel stops working, and my drivers are removed. I tried switching around the cards from the PCI slots. I changed the SLI bridge. And everytime i activate SLI, Control panel stops working and drivers are removed.

The psu is the only thing i could think of being the cause of it aint working. Tho most of the calculators say it should be enough power, and this ofcourse is the only thing i can't test.

Grtz

You can't sli two different models !! You must have two identical video cards have same model (brand, clock speed, memory, etc..)

If both are 660ti's they should be capable, but only after using Coolbits to turn your 3Gb into a 2GB card. However, it is extremely odd that they differ in VRAM in that manner. When a card has two versions of VRAM, it is almost always a multiple of the standard VRAM size. I'm not certain they are the same card.

Since you have the cards already, then I recommend you downloading coolbits and do the registry changes it will perform. Both cards must have the same GPU and VRAM amount for SLI to work. Coolbits is supposed to allow you to change the VRAM Windows sees.

To bystander. I already did the coolbit thing.. after i do that, I can put them in sli. But then, when I enable sli the control panel stops working and my drivers for the cards are gone. I have to reinstal them and restart pc to get everything working again. As my original question already stated.

I'm not sure how that invalidates my response. Obviously it does not work. It is likely due to Nvidia's drivers or Windows.
