I don't think my 430w Corsair psu could handle it, would it be a worthwhile upgrade from my 750 ti to get a new psu and gpu?

Solution
Yes it's a worthwhile upgrade as you'll shift from ok fps on ultra to amazing fps on ultra, but not with that psu.
Although the gpu uses much less power but I'd still not risk connecting it to that psu which uses poor quality capacitors.
With something like Xfx 550w core edition you'll be good for ultra gaming with that card :)

No, 430 Watts is not nearly enough. If you are happy with your current performance, then no I would not upgrade. If you want increased performance then sure. If you feel that you could wait a while longer, then save the money and wait another year for the 20nm

I think I might get a 600w so it would be ready for one more generation of cards, but I've never replaced parts yet, and I'm a little sentimental over these 2 parts, but, if it has to go, it has to go. I am looking to upgrade from a 1440x900 screen to a 1080p

I would upgrade the power supply, and get one of the new cards. You only need another 100w or so to get you going. 8 gb of ram is sufficient to run any modern game. :)
