I was thinking of getting an iPad Air as my IPad 2 is years out of date.
However the new iphone 6 has just launched with a new A8 chip and M8 motion co-processor. The iPad Air only has an A7 processor and an M7 co-processor.
Should I get an iPad air or wait for the iPad 6 which will have the A8 and M8

You seem like an Apple fanboy , but let me tell you something:

Dont take an Ipad get a Surface :

- It's more cheap
- More performant (I5 Haswell)
- x86 Architecture (it means that you can use x86 apps like the one you use on laptop/desktops)
- QWERTY physical keyboard
- Storage expansion
- Unlimited updates
- Windows's flexibility

It's just better.
BTW, you talk of A8 and M8 like if these are revolutionary but they aren't.

But if you have little more bucks to spend get a Transformer (Laptop and Tablet)

And you can keep your Ipad 2, 1 year is nothing for computers: if i would change my CPU each time a new one comes i would be ruined

When buying electronics you must wait for the best occasion and for real revolutions.
