Basically, I have an old HP w2207h LCD monitor that I bought in 2009 (Basically this: http://www.amazon.com/HP-W2207H-22-inch-Widescreen-Moni...). I served me well, watched the best tv shows and displayed me my high setting graphics. I just completed my first custom build PC 2 weeks ago and it was cruising well, until yesterday. I was playing a game called Blacklight Retribution, and while starting it up the screen flickered as if it was adjusting the screen but instead gave me a green-yellowish tint. The monitor is also has a repetitive beeping sound, or the type of sound you get when you go on an empty channel on those early 2000s tv's.

I fear that it's a bad pixelation problem within my monitor, but I'd like to hear if this is a known issue and if I can fix this without either trashing it away or spending a lot to fix.

Input on this thread would be DEEPLY appreciated. I can't use this monitor for more than an hour without headaches and its also majorly impacting performance in gaming as well. I don't have money at the moment to purchase a new one so I really need cheaper and faster solutions.

Thanks!

Update: It may be worth mentioning that the VGA port on my monitor is missing a screw that was suppose to keep the cable in place. Its been missing for about a year now but it has never been an issue. I also have 2 VGA cables.
