i have an xblade case http://www.logisyscomputer.com/viewsku.asp?SKUID=CS859B...

my cpu is an phenom ii x4 955 be. right now the cpu runs at 50C on idle, 67 to 68 when playing, a friend of mine has the same issue with her 965 so we are both getting new fan coolers, my case is the oldest one and she has a thermal take v7 case.

Tradesman1 is right, i had to dismantle my pc and do my own calculations , i will hope this stays here for those like me with this case so they clear their doubts. however im changing to this case http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FL2JOY0?psc=1 as my current case is old and im having issues with my PSU and hot air going inside it as the psu is top mounted.

another thing to worry about is your thermal paste. it may be bad / air bubbled up. i have the exact same processor as you with the exact same cooler. my idle temps during web surfing are 34c (thats what it's at right now, with 20 tabs open, outlook on second monitor and a few other programs going.

also, what fans are you using for cooling? i was idling at low 40s before i got 4 x coolermaster sp120s. i was using generic cooler master fans that didnt push nearly enough static CFM.
