Hi

I'm looking for a wifi router with good range at a good price.
It has to penetrate through 2 walls + 2 wardrobes to reach my comp :(
Currently I'm using a Sky Hub which has rather poor wireless performance especially over range!

Any help would be appreciated.

No way to even guess if a particular router will pass though walls. This is the largest issue with any recommendations. You house is going to make far more difference than routers. This is why you see people complaining about every router on the market having poor range...in their house it likely does.

In most cases it is poor antenna design than makes the difference. Most routers have radios that transmit 200-250mw and have about 5db gain antenna. This puts them all right near the legal effective output power of 1watt.

You will find most the major brand name routers have very similar performance characteristics. If you were to go with ASUS,netgear, dlink or tplink you would likely get good results. I tend to prefer routers with external antenna but well designed internal antenna work just as well.

When you have a lot of obstacles you may be better off with powerline network equipment, but that too does not work in all houses since it is just a different form of radio but over the electrical wires. It still tends to work better than wireless when you are having issues getting enough signal level.
