Well I upgraded my psu to an evga nex750 gold plus and my gpu to an asus r9 270x 4gb. I installed both and the psu fan will spin onceand thats it. I figured something may be sorting it so I re ran all the wires and tried again. Still the same result.

So then I did to try my old psu again a corsair cx750m and my old gpu a msi r7 260x. And now those don't work either. So what did I do wrong and how do I fix it. Thanks for your time. And my specs should be in my signature if you need them.

Solution
are all connectors connected to the GPU, sorry if i insult you, but have you plugged the right ones in?

If your computer does not start, then the wires that plug into the motherboard, (Turn On Switch, Reset etc)
that they are in the right space's

New PSU fans only turn on when the PSU starts to get hot, to save power!

Reply When tryed it out :D

At first I thought it might be a faulty new psu but the fact that I can't get it to start with my old psu and gpu I'm getting worried. Any advice anyone could give I'd be very happy. Thank you so much.

Its no problem and you didnt insult me dont worry. The new psu ended up frying my Mobo, sooo I returned everything and went fresh with a new AMD build, now I'm going with corsair cx750M 80+ bronze, gonna upgrade to gold soon, AMD FX 9370, ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z Mobo and she runs like a dream...And changed the graphics in because I had a R7 260x im using for now, gonna save up for gtx 970 or 980...

but thanks a ton for responding
