I just bought an X99 Deluxe. I have an i7-5930x, memory and video card were triple checked to be seeded. When I turn on the power supple, the power and reset button light up. When I hit the power button, fans start but everything stops quickly. A 00 flashes very fast and it shuts off. All of this happens in a second or two tops. Thoughts on what I should try?

I'd try hitting the mem ok! button for starters. but I'd also try making sure I have everything installed correctly. my first boot, I forgot to add the extra 6pin and 8pin connectors to the video card. I when I booted the computer gave me a message.. "hey buthead, plug in your video card 8pin and 6pin"

I have the exact same problem. Also with the 5930. Even tried out with no memory and no CPU installed. Same result. Tried it with two different PSU's too. The MB just wont POST.

Have you found a sollution? If so, I'd love to know.

Yeah, I ended up RMA'ing the MB too. Problem was, that the new X99D MB wouldn't POST either. Not even without the CPU installed. Didn't even turn on for a minute. It had the same problem, just lights on in the Power and CMOS buttons. So I RMA'ed it again, including the CPU (had no way of testing it). I got a refund from the MB shop and a new CPU from that shop. So I guess it had turned out to be burned out too. My DDR4 RAM were fine btw.

Now I've got the Rampage V Extreme MB, so far without trouble. This MB also has the ASUS extended pins built into the CPU-socket - but I've had no problems with it yet.

Well, nuts! Unhappy to report I just had the exact same failure. Machine lasted through a 12 hour burn in, was not overclocked in any way. Then the whole system lost power, and since then all I can get is the briefest glimmer from the fan LED after completely draining all PSU power.

Already go the PSU tested (as I only just read this post) - thats fine, cmos cleared, mem-checked and no change if I unplug all other connections and even remove RAM and Video - so fair bet my Mobo has failed, and by all other reports of this issue it's 99% sure to have taken my CPU out too (farewell sweet 5930K), maybe even the RAM modules as well.

I even hear the OCP click described in the linked article...

Damn you, Asus.
