I know this is long, but if you have any knowledge on PCs, PLEASE READ! It has been about a year since I've built my PC. I have almost given up trying to fix the issues I have with it. Being my first PC ever built, I have no idea what's wrong with it, but I am so tired of this. Ever since I built my PC, it locks up ALL THE TIME when gaming. sometimes it's 2 seconds, sometimes it's 30. I have no idea why, but it just does. I'll be playing DayZ, GMod, or any game, and it will just lock up. I try Alt+Tabbing or Ctrl Alt Delete but it doesn't work. Also, when it locks up, if the cursor was up at the time, I can still move it around, but nothing else. I'll have a steam voice call running in the background and I can still hear them and talk back, but other than that and move the cursor, nothing. I always have to tell him "wait, my computer froze up" in the middle of an intense firefight (really annoying). Once it's done locking up, if I had tried Ctrl Alt Deleting earlier when it was still frozen, it will then pull up task manager. But after it's done locking up, it's fine, everything goes back to normal. I used to get BSODs as well, but I haven't in a long time. I considered that maybe the ram slot I put my ram stick in was damaged, so I moved it to a new slot, still no change. I'm so tired of having a ruined gaming experience because of this. If you need the specs, here they are:
Intel Core i3 4130
EVGA GTX 660 SC
WDC 1tb 7200rpm harddrive
Corsair Vengence 8x1 DDR3 Ram stick
Corsair CX 600w power supply
MSI B85-G41 ATX Motherboard

Ok, try and test all of your components in a separate computer if you have one available to you. play with them all on the games you normally play and see if you have issues with a specific component. If not try and see if their are any error messages that come up or appear somewhere on your computer. This may be because of issues with your memory! Although, I'm not sure. Also, check and see if you have any virus's on your computer or check storage. This is probably something a lot less complicated then it appears! Let me know if this helps at all!

I unfortunately do not have a spare PC to test my components, which is upsetting, because if that is the issue, I will never be able to determine what component is causing the problem. My PC is virus free, I just scanned it with McAfee, so there isn't an issue there. I do thank you a lot though for helping, I really appreciate it.

No problem! I also recommend you post this in the systems section of the forums as they will know ALOT more about your issues and will most likely be able to help you more then I can. Also check your ram, because I often have the same issues as you and they are a result of my ram, so maybe it is for you to.
