Please Help! Dont Know What To Do!

It is my first time building and I have been working on computer for the last 10 hours. I got everything in and ready but when I boot up some of the lights on the motherboard are red and it wont boot up.

I went through all the steps on that one thread and it didnt work. I dont know what to do D:

If so, you need to look at swapping out bits.

What voltages did you get from your power supply? (Qn 23)

Did you get a post (beep) code? What? per http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm What type bios does your mobo have?

What results did you get from memtest?

I havent had a successful boot yet, what is a memtest and what do you mean by volts.

If you went through the checklist, and you could not get things to work - you have bad components and need to replace them.

Your psu - http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/xtr-series-full-modular/xtr-series-650w-psu-p1-650b-befx

is supposed to supply 12v, 5v and 3.3v line voltages. The color codes are referred to in Qn23. It say to measure the voltages to make sure your PSU is working OK. Or didn't you go through the checklist CAREFULLY?

if you didn't miss the stand-offs....

did you reset cmos?

did you boot without the card?

try a different sata port......... marvell controller.

Ahh.....step 11 on the checklist.....

11. Are there any bent pins on the motherboard/CPU? This especially applies if you tried to install the CPU with the plastic cover on or with the CPU facing the wrong direction.

better check. you might have troubles sending it back. been known to happen that bent pins are your fault.
