Hi. I am having trouble finding a definitive answer about whether a Bluetooth 4.0/Wifi Half Mini PCI-E card such as this one shown here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106079

will plug into the PCIe X1 on a motherboard.

All my searching results in people talking about adapting PCIe to PCI, etc. I just want to know if I had one of these, as in the link above, would I be able to plug it into a PCIe X1 slot.

And if so, will it send/receive WiFi from inside the case without any wires or antennas attached to it?

No it will not fit in pcie x1. It's a different slot.

They do make adapter cards that have antenna and cables that you can plug the mini pcie cards into. These fit into the standard pcie slots on a desktop motherboard.

Okay thanks. Good to know -- looking at photos they sure do look the right size and shape.
