Does this sound like a good component list for a build?

I am getting ready to do my first build, and wanted to see what people thought before i laid out the money.

CPU: Intel i5 4690k
Motherboard: Gigabite GA Z97X-SLI
Video Card: ASUS R7250X-2GD5
RAM: 8 GB Kingston HyperX Fury Red
HD: WD Blue 1 TV @ 7200 rpm
Cooling: Corsair H55 Liquid Cooling
Optical Drive: LG 24x DVD
Case: Corsair Graphite 230T Orange
Power: Ultra LSP V2 650w

I am not a gamer, but am continually multi-tasking, with several browser tabs open (working on a doctorate, so I am doing a lot of research), listening to internet radio, watching streaming video, etc.

Will this build do the trick, or is it more than I need?

I've got about $1000 to spend, but would like to stay under that.

Solution
The power supply unit is not a reliable nor powerful enough one. You will want to purchase a 500 watt power supply from a reliable brand like EVGA, Seasonic, or XFX. It will cost more but will be to your benefit, and I do not think 350 watts is powerful enough for your rig when gaming.
