Hello, I have a GTX 750 TI, 12 GB of ram, and a crappy pentium dual core G860, in a few days I am upgrading to the i5 3570k Quad core cpu, I am wondering how much this upgrade will help my fps in games like battlefield 3, battlefield 4, and grand theft auto, along with dayz/dayz mod for arma 2. mostly wondering about bf3/bf4 how much it will help there with fps, cuz currently my fps isn't too great on bf3 in multiplayer with my dual core, thanks

Maybe this question will help you: http://superuser.com/questions/790418/why-are-videos-rendered-by-the-cpu-instead-of-the-gpu

So, CPU is still responsible for rendering: it is an important component. But, in my opinioon, it is more important that you have a good motherboard, because this part is responsible to "talk" to all the other components. Think about that before upgrading to a great CPU instead of CPU.

Edit~
Basically, a good CPU equals faster loading of maps, images and animations. If you play FPS, you may have noticed that when you are running, the view far away is still loading or haven't load yet. The CPU is responsible for loading this things. The GPU will fill the surrounds with effects and textures.
