The ram on the video card has absolutely nothing to do with the ram on your motherboard. I mean, they're just coming out with ddr4 ram now.

haha the vram and motherboard ram are two entirely differant types of memory. In other words you are solid its k unless your motherboard doesnt support selected drivers like the nvidea sli driver.
