Hello, I am looking for an Android tablet that I can read my textbooks, comics and novels on. On top of that I would like to take notes on it occasionally but mainly highlighting lecture notes or to screen shot diagrams from the textbook and try out the problem easily. Alright so I realize that I can get a tablet and connect a keyboard to it, but most of my course notes have diagrams, graphs and such so I need a tablet with a stylus that has palm rejection. I know that I can get a separate stylus but I have looked around a lot and I can not find a stylus that works on Android (with palm rejection).

My budget goes up to $300, I am willing to go up around $50 more but would prefer not to. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, if you know of any stylus' with palm rejection that work on android or of any android tablets that come with a stylus that supports palm rejection (not just a capacitive stylus) I would appreciate if you took the time to inform me of them. The bigger the screen the better.

What I have found so far: http://www.amazon.ca/HP-Extreme-4400ca-Tablet-Android/d... I think the screen is a bit too small though

I'm not really sure what the palm rejection bit is, but I've often wished I still had my Galaxy Note 10.1. You can pick up a refurbished on for ~250 bucks from various online retailers.

You need an inductive stylus on a tablet that supports it. The Galaxy Note 8 supports an inductive stylus (the S Pen) with apps like S Note. Amazon.ca has Galaxy Note 8's at under $300 CDN new. But I expect the one under $300 includes some customs fees, as it will ship from FL.

I doubt you would need palm rejection on a 7 inch or 8 inch tablet, because the screen is small enough that you can write on it while resting your hand on the desk top. The inductive stylus, however, is also more precise.

I use a Nexus 7 with a bluetooth mouse to highlight and make notes on diagrams.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I can't find a refurbished Note 10.1 for that price range. If you know of a website I can look on or have a link that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. There are Bluetooth stylus' but I haven't been able to find one for Android, all I could find were ones made for the iPad.

I would prefer a bigger screen than 7 or 8 inches but even if I end up getting that size I still would like palm rejection as my course notes has required me to actually draw out a diagram multiple times before, and it would be much easier with palm rejection.

I couldn't find the 8 inch note or less than $345 on amazon.ca (prices are generally lower on amazon.com), however I found a refurbished one for $260 on newegg, but what would be better, the still cheaper new hp linked above or a slightly bigger refurbished Samsung?

I would appreciate any other suggestions

I've yet to hear any bad things about the galaxies aside from people just getting the once in a while bad tablet. Happens with everything. But at least with the refurb, you know it's been fixed and it's also going to come with a warranty, and you can always buy an extended warranty through newegg.
