Thanks ronin but I would actually like to go with the i5 or maybe i7, but as they both don't have much difference in there performances so an i5 would do. :)

If you can raise the budget by 30 dollars, this would be an extremely powerful CPU with a high quality board.

Going with an I-7, that would put you right at your limit for the build.....with an I-5, you will need a mobo that isn't top of the line, resulting in you not getting the best overclocking results.....and you bolded that in your post - so that is what I took as most important.....

So basically - if you want Intel, you will get a medium to low end mobo.

I have an FX-8320 - it performs well - and will give you similar performance to most of the core i-5's out there at about $80 less in cost give you the better mobo.

The end result - you can't have a $500 build for $330.....you will either have to choose better processor and less on the mobo, or better mobo less on the CPU....

Not really, both boards listed are of quality, especially the Z97-A. In addition, the 8320/8350 arent even on the same tier as the i5: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

So best MOBO for the 8350/8320?

This is a great mobo - excellent OC capabilities - can SLI GPUs, and will give you great performance. If the OC capabilities are of less importance - then you can get the mid-range intel boards with an I-5.

I am confused, I actually want a better MOBO, but if I buy a good mobo I would not get a CPU that better.

Nothing is sub-par about the motherboards that are listed, both meet your requirements, are manufactured by reputable brands (ASRock and ASUS), handle OCs well, and are made from quality components. The Z97-A is one of the most recommended boards for haswell refresh processors.

For a $400-$500 budget - you can get an great mobo with an Intel processor. A really good mobo runs about $200 or more. Intel processors are about $200......that is not to say that a $120 mobo is trash - they are decent mobos - just not as good....I do not have top of the line mobos in either of my builds listed in my profile - I do not overclock and do not need the additional features - so paying for the "great" mobo is a waste of money....
