I'm looking to upgrade from my AMD Athlon 760K because I know it'll bottleneck a GTX 980 and I was wondering how much more powerful Carrizo will be than Kaveri?

Current Knowledge:
-Kaveri is 15% more powerful than Richland (760K's architecture)
-Carrizo Has a Performance Increase of more than 15% from Kaveri
-Kaveri & Carrizo are 28nm

Extra Questions:
-Will the 860K have a Carrizo or Kaveri Architecture?
-What is the highest stable overclock I will be able to achieve with the Highest End Carrizo Processor? (I have a Cooler Master V8 GTS with Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Paste) (Extra Note: I could reach over 5GHz with my cooling on a 760K but the 760K can't go over 4.8GHz stable)
-Will FM2+ ever have 20nm support?
-Will FM2+ ever have Hex or Octo-Cores?

It's Kaveri, you can find this information even in Wikipedia.

Who knows? Probably at least as good as Kaveri.

I don't think that AMD will ever release 20nm desktop part.

At best hex-core. But it's highly unlikely if Carrizo is still at 28nm.

I posted a thread about this and I was wondering if there was any way to back up my programs since I would have to change chipsets. Also, I'm debating over whether I should go with a 5820K or 4790K if I go Intel.

Update: Actually let me change that; it's a decision whether to go Broadwell or the 5820K. (I really like the 14nm for OC'ing)

So we won't be seeing 14nm desktop Broadwell processors?

This link says we will: http://wccftech.com/intel-10nm-skylake-desktop-platform-arrives-2015-tdps-dt-hseries-useries-yseries-unveiled-quad-core-gt4e-gpu-95w-tdp/

Is this false?

Also, I plan to get 3x1080p monitors so will a single GTX 980 be enough to play all games Ultra Settings(60FPS) at that resolution?

Another question, would the 4690k OC'd to 4.6GHz (if the CPU can handle that high) bottleneck two GTX 980's in SLI?

Last Question, would two GTX 970's in SLI be enough for 3x1080p monitors to play all games Ultra Settings (60FPS) (If a Single GTX 980 can't handle it)

When I said 20nm, I meant anything lower than the current 28nm on FM2+. Sorry for not being clear on that. Thanks!

That link says "In 2014, aside from Haswell Refresh, Intel would also launch Broadwell processors for notebook and Ultrabooks"

A GTX980 will run 3 x 1080p monitors.

An i5 4690k will not bottleneck 2 x 980's even if it is not overclocked.

2 x 970's can also run 3 x 1080p monitors.

This is Ultra Settings with Near Constant 60-FPS at all times? (It's okay if it goes over)
