Hi guys, i've been having an ongoing issue with my computer over the past year or so since I've built it. It shuts itself off in the middle of a game, watching a youtube video, or playing a simple flash game. I've yet to find a pattern with it. I don't know a ton about what works well with everything and what doesn't. A lot of people have said that the GTX 460 tends to overheats a lot? I'm really not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My specs are:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
Motherboard: MSI 890FXA GD65
GPU:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
PSU: Corsair CS 750.
16gb DDR3 Ram
has a 700GB seagate HD, 32gb SanDisk SSD and a 128GB 840 Evo Samsung SSD

Checklist: Is your bios up to date? Drivers? if yes then are any of your components overclocked? cpu? gpu? if no then it may be a software issue but on this info it would be very difficult to figure out. If your cpu or gpu is overclocked then please try at default and see if issue is resolved. Again, make sure your bios and all drivers are up to date. If you are hesitant, then for peace of mind create a system restore point and backup or at least a restore point. In general of course you should always back up your data. If you have another gpu or onboard graphics and truly believe it's the gpu then try replacing and see if system is stable.
I most commonly observe random shut offs on non-stable overclocks. Hope this helps.

Bios and drivers are up to date that i'm aware of. Nothing is overclocked, atleast i've never overclocked anything. Not comfortable doing it. I don't believe it's the graphics card, that's just what a few people have told me. The max temp i've seen my GPU hit is around 61C. I honestly don't know what it could be. What other information can I supply that would give some more insight???

you should be sure whether you've updated the bios or not. look up your motherboard and compare to your dxdiag version; ie winkey + r type dxdiag and hit enter and look up your current bios version against what's newest for your mobo. The latest drivers require the latest bios typically.

Some other symptoms that might be important. Computer will stay on and both monitors will shut off. Will shut off while just watching a couple streams and browsing the internet.
