I have an HP Elite 84400 laptop with Check point Encryption and a windows xp image loaded, somehow the hard disk got crashed and now has been re-imaged, its my company laptop and i have access to admin password, anyways i can recover data.i just need some excel files. The hard disk is the same , only the windows xp image has been reloaded.

If the HDD crashed (which is a hardware fault), they probably replaced it. If it was just a windows glitch, there might be some hope, but probably none because the keys were probably in the same place as the new key, and will have been overwritten.

Corporate system, you will need the IT department to help. You not only need the loca administrator password you also need to get past the encryption of the file, which my be impossible if the original disk was wiped.
