My computer has started having an issue where it would appear to be losing power randomly, the screens lose signal and the keyboard loses power, but the computer itself still remains on and the mouse is still getting power. The only distinction between these two peripherals I can think of is that I believe my keyboard is plugged into a USB 3.0 port while the mouse is USB 2.0. This issue arises randomly and has no apparent cause. In addition, the computer will sometimes restart from this, as in the keyboard will regain power and the monitors will get signal and the computer boots back up as if it were turned off, but other times I need to manually turn it off and on again.

CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: EVGA GTX 750TI
MB: M5A99FX PRO R2.0
PSU: Raidmax RX-630SS
16GB RAM
OS: Windows 7 Hope Premium 64-bit

Any ideas as to what it could be?

USB 3 is probably hooked up to the PCI e bus/controller sounds like either a power issue or a failing motherboard. Check the graphics card is seated properly and nothing is shorting out tho. Also try s different keyboard incase a broken wire is causing problems

How would I go about checking the current version of my BIOS? And if it is out of date, how would I update it?

Look in the BIOS. It'll show it there somewhere.

If its out of date get the bios update from the site. If it supports ez flash get the bios update extract it to a flash drive. Reboot go back into the BIOS go to ez flash. Point it to the flash drive load the update. Wait for it to finish

I doubt its the motherboard, seeing as that is only a couple months old, and I doubt its the keyboard since the screens lose signal as well.
