There are some power saving options like Cool n Quiet, C1E and C6 (I'm not sure how they really work).

Power saving options when they are enabled only apply themselves when my system is idle right? So that means I'm okay with having them enabled, they won't interfere with me at all if I'm gaming on my system isn't it?

Am I right about this? Or did I miss something?

I've read that stuff. He only said to disable them as they are "features you don't need". Which is a vague statement.

My real question is these power saving features will affect my performance or not?

Of course they will. Anything that you don't need, such as power saving, you shouldn't use.

The power saving will only save power at idle isn't it? So why shouldn't I use it?

It will stop your PC from overclocking.

I've already overclocked a little bit to 3.9 GHz. There is nothing wrong on what my CPU-Z shows me. The frequency stays the same.

My voltage is still on auto, and it also increases and stays roughly the same.

What motherboard have you got? And power supply?

M5A97 R2.0 and a 600W cheap PSU (which I will change for a decent Cooler Master one that will be delivered to me on Tuesday).

The one that I already bought which will come to me this Tuesday is Cooler Master V Modular Series.

Yeah I know about that. Just to be safe with my crappy PSU and also a not so good stock cooling solution.

Maybe I will buy the 212 Evo.
