No, that recommendation is for the whole system, and it includes a safety margin. The GTX 760 itself draws less than 200W.

ok also I have a 8 pin connector for my CPU but my Power supply did not come with an 8 pin connector or a 4+4 connecter that would fit?
Do i need to pick up an adapter or should I pick up a different power supply

EDIT: Sorry, I misread your post. If your power supply doesn't have a proper 8-pin or 4+4-pin connector, it might be time for a new PSU.

I understand that but the 4+4 Pin does not fit as in the actual Pins do not match on the board.
Its like sticking a car key in a Door lock it is not the same fit

What is the exact model of your PSU? You're probably going to need a new one.
