New build, fine for two months now won't boot for more than 30 seconds

I had a PC built for me, I'm not very technical (I can change RAM, install GPUs but that's about it) and about a month or so in it has started shutting down and rebooting. It worked perfectly fine for a few weeks and then this started. It now wont boot at all, sometimes it posts, sometimes it doesn't and when it does it will randomly shutdown and reboot <1minute in.

Every component is less than 8 months old, with most of it being brand new.

OK so I feel I need to share the whole story. I've been having issues for months now and I just want to get it sorted. I had a custom build for 3 years. It burned out and I had to replace the GPU. This didn't fix it, so I ended up pretty much replacing the whole thing. The new build worked fine for a month and then started having very similar issues to the other one, it turns on, fans spin etc doesn't post all the time and usually reboots after a minute even when it does boot.

As above it has been suggested that the psu could be a problem. However I wanted to draw attention to the fact that the only components from the original build that remain are the RAM sticks. They are about 9 months old 4GB corsair vengeance sticks.

Since they are the common denominator between the two builds I wondered if this might be my issue. Literally everything else in the build is brand new.

The main problem I have is that I don't have stuff lying around to test it with, and so feel like I'm guessing and throwing money at it to no avail.

FYI it definitely isn't the mobo, I've tried that already on advice I was given elsewhere....

Very frustrated at the moment and appreciate any and all help I can get <3

wow thats a tough break...
sorry to say only testing in another build woulds have been a real help.
if your using win 7 look in bios/eufi and see if hpet is enabled. if its not enable it... if your using win 8 linux then turn it off.

have you tried memtest86? or superpi 32m bench... it will load up your ram so much that if its the weak point it will cause the system to lock up. its not as accurate as mem test but its way quicker at telling you the rams bad.(but run memtest also)

if so check to see if your ram needs more voltage... (not to much as intel cpu's dont like more than .5v difference between themselves and the ram.

also if your using a newer cpu with lower halt states enabled try turning them off. if your psu cant produce a low enough power at a steady rate the cpu will fall over every time it drops into power saving.
what you can do to counter this. turn off any c halt states higher than 2. turn it off completely if you dont need to save power.

thats about all i can think of atm mate... good luck...
