R9 285 and A8-3870k

So I have an PC with an A8-3870k and HD 6670 and I'm planning to upgrade my video card to R9 285. Would the A8-3870k bottleneck the R9 285 without overclocking my CPU?

I'm planning to upgrade my CPU to an i5 and Mobo to socket 1150 a year or so after. Would you recommend it for me to still buy an r9 285? Also I'll overclock my current CPU to lessen the bottleneck.
