Hey guys!

I'm currently using a Desktop PC which could just about manage last years Medium-High level games but nothing ultra or fancy... This year, with the release of most major titles happening in the next few months i'm planning on upgrading my system... What i wan't to know, is the best upgrades i can get to boost gaming performance.

My current rig is:

CPU: AMD A8 6500 Quad core processor @3.50Ghz
RAM: 6GB of DDR3.. of the 4 slots available two are being used, one 4GB and one 2GB.
GPU: Radeon 8570D HD + 8470D Dual Graphics (I think the 8470 is removable and the 8570 is built-in but i may be wrong)
OS: Windows 8.1

PSU: 300Watt

I'd like to say that i have an un-opened EVGA Nvidia GTX 650 1GB Card which i bought to upgrade my old system but then my old system completely failed and it is just sitting there doing nothing (I need help with that pc too later)

Incase there is any value in any of these parts or anything is salvageable
My old PC has:

CPU: Intel Q6600 @2.4Ghz (Non-overclocked)
RAM: 4Gb DDR2 susing 4/4 slots at 1Gb each
GPU: Nvidia 8500GT
PSU: 500Watt
OS: Windows XP and Windows Vista (Yes, It's THAT old)

Also that computer has some form of virus that literally prevents it from booting so i'd like to know how to factory reset a PC that has no option for it in it's BIOS and won't turn on to do it manually...
Semi Thinking i should just wipe a magnet over it and start again but i dont know if that would actually work.

My budget is as low as possible.. I'd quite like to salvage/sell as much of my old pc as possible even though i know it's not worth that much at all now. Or at least get it in working order to give away.

I want to do something with the GTX 650 as well because it's sitting there in it's box. I thought about swapping it for the dual graphics but that would require a larger PSU which i could take from the old PC but that was a lot of hassle for not much gain really.. I was wondering if i should sell it and get a HD7770 which is roughly the same specs wise but i'm not sure how you crossfire intergrated graphics with external cards Etc.....

Oh and i definitely wan't more ram, i was looking at getting two 8GB cards of ddr3 to use up the rest of the slots available.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Max Budget is around the £200 mark.... Keeping the budget quite shy because of income issues that will hopefully resolve fairly soon, so try and keep to the budget, but i think i should get more money quite soon so for that reason if you have suggestions that stretch to £250 even £300 i'm willing to consider it depending on the gain...

Also another reason for the shy budget is all i'm really getting is ram and a GPU, as long as there no issues using my old PSU in my new machine...

That would be my suggestion.
