Can't connect to Internet

When i turn my computer on from a cold boot, i get no internet connection. If i restart my computer, I get internet connection. Anyone know whats going on?

How are you connecting to the internet? After you turn it on and it does not work, check Device Manager to make sure the network card is there and working. Also do an ipconfig /all command at a DOS prompt and check if your IP is properly configured.
