I looking for a new monitor. I'll be gaming on it and I would like to stick as close to $200 as I can. Asus makes the best 60hz gaming monitors whether it is for console or steam. I myself owned an ASUS VN247H-P which is I think the newer model of the asus that you posted. Both will do just fine. I recently upgraded to a benq 144hz though and sold the asus. 144hz is not ideal in your situation unless you have a gtx 770 or higher. Go with the asus, you will not be disappointed as it has low input lag and minimal motion blur thanks to the TN display.

I just seen it's 144hz and you said that wouldn't be best with my card.
