Well I upgraded my psu to an evga nex750 gold plus and my gpu to an asus r9 270x 4gb. I installed both and the psu fan will spin onceand thats it. I figured something may be sorting it so I re ran all the wires and tried again. Still the same result.

So then I tried my old psu again a corsair cx750m and my old gpu a msi r7 260x. And now those don't work either. So what did I do wrong and how do I fix it. Thanks for your time. And my specs should be in my signature if you need them.

Yeah all of the cables are connected correctly, so I guess its a good thing I got the protection plan on my mobo lol. Man this sucks mobo was brand new too. Now is there a chance my processor was cooked too? And is it just a bad psu that would fry the mobo, because im usually quite careful to check compatibility and such.

Well its not factory paid for the store replacement plan so I can just go a switch it out. It just seems weird the same result is happening with different psu's and different cards.

So if everything is connected correctly and different psu's and gpu's now do not work, is it safe to assume that the new psu I bought is bad and that it fried my mobo?

Bummer...oh well looks like I get to make a field trip this afternoon after some football. Thanks again for the help and I'll definitely let you know what happens when I get it all straightened out.

Just wanted to say thank you for your time and knowledge. I was replacing the mobo so I switched processors too. I switched to an fx9370 and an asrock 990fx killer mobo and she's running like a dream. Thanks again.
