I currently have a AMD FX4100 in my computer and want to upgrade it to a i5 4670k, for obvious reasons. I have a few questions i'd like to ask on the changing.

Will i need a new copy of windows after the installation or can i use my current copy?
Will i need to delete old BIOS before i install new BIOS?
Will the HDD need to be wiped?

Thanks in advance,

Sarge

You can use your existing license of Microsoft Windows once you switch over to Intel; however if your existing copy of Windows is an OEM copy, or one provided by the manufacturer of your existing system, such as Dell; then you'll need a new copy. If you purchased Windows or obtained Windows via an alternative method (e.g. free copy of Windows as a student), then you may simply use your existing license; there is no need to purchase another copy.

You don't delete the BIOS, it cannot be done. The BIOS is on your motherboard, without it your system would not boot. To switch to Intel, you'll need to purchase an Intel motherboard; your existing board will not be compatible with Intel. The new Intel motherboard will simply be plug and play...
1) You will need a new motherboard to match the 4670K,or even better, the 4690K.
2) You can use your copy of Windows, but I don't think you'll need that, unless you're getting an SSD or a new HDD.
3) You won't need to delete the BIOS because you need a new motherboard.
4) Backup your files onto an external HDD,that would be my suggestion.

The HDD does not need to be wiped. However you maybe required to reinstall Windows (effectively a format), if at first you encounter problems with the switch.

Anyhow all the best. :)

If windows is retail you will be fine. If it is oem they might be funny about activating it because the motherboard has changed. A fresh install is the best option. Forget the BIOS its something different, the board will have a new BIOS

I would moderate @LukaBoki's comment on the Windows license to a maybe. If your version of windows came with the PC from an OEM vendor (HP, Dell, etc) then you probably can't reuse it. If you built your computer then you generally can reuse your Windows license.
