Hey guys, I'm currently running an I7 4771 on a Asus Z87-k MOBO.
Here's the deal: I want to install a wifi card (PCIe x1), but my CPU is limited to 16 PCIe lanes, and I already have my graphics card on a PCIe x16 slot (running at x16).
By doind so will I limit my graphics card to x8?
What if I use a PCI wifi card instead?

Solution
Yes your GPU will run at x8. There's no noticible difference in x8 and x16. Look here for some useful benchmarks:

You can install the PCIe card w/o any issues about performance loss :)
