So i was planning to put an ssd in my computer, and wanted to install windows 8.1 on it. Problem is i dont have enough money for a disc but i can afford a key. So i was doing research on it and it doesnt look like that i can select a device to install the windows 8 from with just a product key. So can i upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8.1 on an new ssd and reset my hdd.
